The reason why loneliness seems to be
hiding behind my smile,
Is because, perhaps,
I'm afraid of being left on my own.
The reason why my back seems to be
a little more hunched that before,
Is because the sky
Does not look all beautiful to me.
Even then, I try hard
Not to lose this smile
Because in a corner of my heart,
There is hope.
There will be times
When things don't go as you wish,
When you hurt despite what your heart says.
Whenever that happens, trust in time.
Soon, without us knowing,
We would be getting better.
The reason why my heart
seems to be filled with more tears
Is because, perhaps,
It knows the pain of breakups.
Even then, I still carry on
with this journey,
Because in a corner of my heart,
I still believe in the miracle called 'love'.
There will be times
When things don't go as you wish,
When you hurt despite what your heart says.
Whenever that happens, trust in time.
Soon, without us knowing,
We would be getting better.
As we wish,
Everything will go back to normal.
We will be together again, as better versions of ourselves.
When that time comes,
Even this time now
Will be shining, without us knowing.
